No, there is not a link to the Anime Web Turnpike, cute icon of Trixie and all, here. This isn't because we don't use the Turnpike (we don't, though we used to, before it started sucking), but rather because, let's face it, you already know where it is. The same goes for all the other hugely popular sites that make it into every anime-related links page on the Net. You know them already, or if by some odd chance you don't, the next page you go to (possibly from here) will probably have a link to them.

So, instead of the same tired old crap, we present to you a selection of links that you may not have known about before, links of uncommon quality or uncommon subject matter, links that will astonish, amaze and astound you, links that will, with any luck, still be online when you read this. Enjoy!

Diana and Chris' Ranma Cel Gallery
These people, frankly, scare us. Whilst Blade boasts a modest collection of cels picked up at relatively reasonable prices, these two appear to be hell-bent on acquiring controlling interest in the entire Ranma series. What's even more extraordinary, though, is that they provide decent scans of their hundreds of cels, without ANY obnoxious logos written over them or even any excessive whining about people using the pictures! Bravo!

If you're one of the select few North American anime fans to be familiar with the surreal, sexually-charged, sublime work of art that is Shoujo Kakumei Utena, this site cannot be passed up. Giovanna Spadaro has devoted an amazing amount of time and money to create the ultimate Utena image source; nearly every piece of official artwork ever created for the series is here in a high-quality form, as well as numerous screencaps, designs and incidentals.

If you're a fan of Princess Ayeka from Tenchi Muyo (Blade is), or just a fan of Tenchi in general, you should have already been here. Scads of content, an easy to navigate layout, and a refreshing lack of "my favourite character is better than your favourite character" ranting (unlike, say, Blade's Kalia Shrine) all combine to make this one of the best character shrines out there. It's even still being updated!
