Anita

Anita's entire family was slaughtered by a Darkstalker while she was very young. Ever since, she hasn't said a word and has remained emotionless to all apparent observation. Her only possession was a small doll she carried everywhere. She was taken in by a monastery, but the monks and locals feared her for her cold demeanour and the unexplained supernatural events that occured around her with startling frequency.

One day, Donovan Baine found her. Sensing a great power - but not an unholy one - in her he proceeded to lop of the head of her doll. Anita reacted by striking at him with a sudden burst of telekinetic force which Donavan easily deflected. He then told her that anger was the most easily summoned emotion and that her reaction was proof that her heart still existed and could be healed. After that she followed him, remaining his silent companion and using her psychic powers to lead him to darkstalkers.

The extent of Anita's true powers is unknown. She is variously mentioned to be the saviour and it is hinted that her abilities will one day allow her to lead humanity into a new golden age, or at least protect it from evil. She can sense powerful dark energies with uncanny accuracy and has minor telekinetic abilities. The latter tend to manifest spontaneously and sometimes outside her control. It is also hinted in some of the darkstalker games that when Anita grows older, she will gain the ability to manipulate time and space itself.
