Area, the daughter of a brilliant scientist and inventor, was given an experimental new weapon system called "Cancer" to test out by her father. Obviously possessing quite a degree of freedom and strong-mindedness, she decided to head out on the road, searching out strong opponents to test the invention's capabilities on. She was quite surprised at the level of combatants she encountered, and at least initially was convinced that the superpowered martial artists she found must have been battle robots or something similar.
Area is a generally cheerful person, though a bit hard to get along with. Inheriting her scientific genius from her father, her intelligence is not to be underestimated, though she has an unfortunate tendency to jump to conclusions and have an extremely narrowly-focused view when she's got the bit in her teeth (as exemplified by her assumption that superpowered martial artists must be robots, a delusion that persisted past some awfully strong evidence to the contrary). She's quite proud of her intellect and skills, and has a habit of chattering out loud to herself when she's thinking. It is unknown if she simply likes to make quite a statement when dressing, or is honestly unaware of her terrible fashion sense.
Despite her initial beliefs about martial artists, Area is hardly devoid of combat skill herself. She's athletic and knows the basics of how to fight, but would be far less of a force to be reckoned with sans her advanced equipment. Her rocket-powered rollerblades allow her to move at high speeds and likely assist in both the power of her kicks and in performing athletic maneuvers such as backflips and superhuman leaps. Her most impressive weapon is "Cancer", the large machine on her arm. With it, she can do a variety of things, including but not limited to: vastly empowered punch and charge attacks, blocking most forms of damage, absorbing energy discharges (such as chi blasts) and then returning them, and performing ranged attacks by launching Cancer at her opponents through either the air or ground (though this can leave her vulnerable until the weapon automatically returns).
