Chizuru Kagura

When Chizuru was twelve years old, she watched as her entire clan was slaughtered by Goenitz and the Orochi clan. Her older sister was the rightful heir to the stewardship of the seal that kept the Orochi, an ancient and evil god, sealed away as it had been for centuries within an enchanted mirror.

When Goenitz attacked the clan, Chizuru's sister was killed and Goenitz released the Orochi from its imprisonment. With her dying breath, her sister passed on the responsibility of sealing away the Orochi again to Chizuru. To this end, she needed to re-unite the feuding Kusanagi and Yagami clans. Chizuru has spent the rest of her life to this point training and preparing for the task ahead of her, because failure means letting the world plunge into chaos and darkness.

Chizuru is a very dedicated woman. To the world, she is something of a prodigy. The sole head of a zaibatsu (a Japanese super-corporation encompassing a huge number of subsidiary industries), and a young woman to boot. She maintains her privacy, and her aloof nature has made her the object of much speculation. She does not waste much time grieving for what is lost, prefering to focus instead on the task at hand. She is very competent and confident. Her manner is perhaps a little abrupt and commanding, but perhaps that is understandable given what is expected of her.

Chizuru is a very powerful martial artist, a discipline she combines with traditional Japanese mysticism to enhance her own spiritual strength. Her fighting style is eclectic, focusing on her channeling her immense spiritual strength. Her control of mystic and martial forces is such that she can even seal an opponent's spirit inside their body, preventing them from employing their most dangerous attacks. She can also use the mirror of her clan to remotely view things and for a variety of other unexplained purposes.
