Blade's Tiny Little Shrine to the Uber-Cool Ifurita Jinnistacia

This is Ifurita Jinnistacia after being hit by a
small nuclear blast. It...knocked her hat off.
Better start running.

This is not your daddy's Ifurita.

The manga version of El Hazard is...interesting. It has a way-too-bloody-cute Ifurita, the terror of Huggable Queen Diva, and no Princess Fatora. But, on the other hand, while Ifurita may be a little too genki to be believable as a soulless machine of mass destruction, the OTHER two Demon Gods hanging around, Ifurita Jinnistacia and Ifurit Ab-Zahal, more than make up for that. As cutesy as the art, story and characters sometimes get, there's some surprisingly Got your medical plan paid up?
Hope so, 'cause this is gonna hurt. dark themes running through Hidetomo Tsubara's vision of The Magnificent World, and one of them is exactly how...futile it is for mere humans, even superpowered ones like the priestesses and Fujisawa, to go up against a Demon God.

Let's not get into how futile it is when there's three of the damn things revived and running around.

Jinnistacia and Ab-Zahal are two weapons from ancient times, now revived and taking their orders from none other than Galus (yep, the manga version has considerable extra muscle behind his schemes). Since they don't have the fortune (?) of getting their minds probed by Makoto immediately after awakening, they remain pretty much dedicated weapons of mass destruction. And they do it very well indeed, whether that be by kidnapping Rune Venus, teaming up to discombobulate Ifurita, or annihilating the combined army of Roshtaria.

So, why this little shrine to half of the destructive duo? Because while Ab-Zahal is undeniably cool, Ifurita Jinnistacia just...kicks...ASS. She's almost Kaliaesque in her obvious relishing of her destructive might, her near-continuous smirk an ominous counterpoint to her unstoppable assaults. She IS a Demon God, and unlike the various anime versions of same, THIS is a weapon you can fully believe helped annihilate the ancient El Hazard civilization. Add that to the fact that her character design is incredibly cool, that she punches out Makoto, that she walks smirking away from nuclear detonations, and how her power staff turns into an energy-scythe, and what is NOT to like?

If you're still reading, you've got to be at least halfways persuaded, so why don't you go take a look at the scans I took the liberty of garnering, and bask some more in the coolness that is Jinnistacia? Or, failing that, why don't you go bask in some cuter, yet still cool El Hazard evilness at my Kalia Shrine?
