Oh, paying $200 for the El Hazard DVD box set? No, that wasn't the problem. The problem was, while Pioneer had very prettily remastered the OAV1 footage, they had apparently dumped the masters for OAV2 in someone's attic for five years.
In other words, the video quality for the OAV2 episodes was complete shite, and thus despite heroic efforts by myself and Photoshop, these screencaps are also less than ideal.
Which doesn't mean they're not good, of course! After all, it's Kalia! Just not quite up to the standards of my usual screencapping...
