I always thought it was really weird that Takahashi never did a story about Kodachi's reunion with her father, since it seems obvious there's much comedic potential there. I suppose she just never got a really good idea for it, a problem that seemed endemic to her with the rarely-appearing Kodachi. Kunou, on the other hand, clearly had no such problems inspiring ideas in Takahashi.
Not much else to say about the Kunous, I suppose - they're crazy and around primarily as comic antagonists, roles they fulfill quite well. Maybe a bit too well - it's very hard to consider how to put them in any other role without making it feel "wrong" and contradicting parts of the manga.
