Here's the thing. When you build up a plot point - an action people are trying to take that comes with an unpleasant consequence, say - for over half a season which involves us sitting through way too many episodes with goddamn Kaorinite, and you finally reach the point where that action is taken in a theoretically unexpected ironic fashion...
...it would perhaps be nice if the GODDAMN CONSEQUENCE ACTUALLY HAPPENED, HUH? Maybe it would be nice if someone doesn't WAVE THEIR GODDAMN HAND AND MAKE THE CONSEQUENCE THAT SHE WARNED THEM ABOUT IN THE FIRST PLACE GO AWAY, HUH!?
Seriously, christ. So yes, Uranus and Neptune should have fricking died, so I could have kept liking them. Instead, not only do they come back, they continue doing the exact same crap for the rest of the season, since they apparently learned nothing from their early experiences. And then there was that last episode. Ugh.
Hotaru I'm okay with, though. She didn't do anything to grotesquely offend me aside from having a healing power that was mentioned once and never brought up again. Of course, that's probably only because I haven't seen Stars. So, uh, yay?
