Blade: The GP seems prime for a rant about how Mihoshi would NOT beat Son Goku, and why.
Epsilon: Mainly because Mihoshi does not have a "dumb luck" superpower. She has an "author's fiat" superpower.
Blade: And not even that has ever let her beat anything impressive.
Epsilon: Yes, Mihoshi does a lot of things through dumb luck, but it isn't actually a power, any more than Akane being able to (literally) erase Ranma's face after it's been turned into kana is a superpower.
Blade: Besides, the entire Tenchi cast frequently does things through dumb luck: why isn't it THEIR superpower? Because Mihoshi brings nothing else to the table?
Epsilon: Not to mention, has she ever done something technically impossible through dumb luck? I mean, outside of a fanfic?
Blade: It would really be more productive to focus on the "she's really a genius savant and descendant of Washuu" thing. I mean, that's STUPID, incredibly so, but at least it's vaguely supported in the series.
Epsilon: Or, at the very least, not ruled out completely.
Blade: Actually, I think they actually confirmed it somewhere in the new OAV series stuff. Not that I've watched it yet, since I'm pretty sure it's going to be crap. You heard it here first!
Epsilon: That's right, we here at C&A Productions don't let things like "seeing" a series, or even hearing anything beyond vague internet rumors about it, stop us from confirming its plotline and informing you of its quality!
Blade: Hell, I didn't even hear that! My dismissing it as crap is based on nothing other than gut intuition. And you know what? I'm gonna be right ANYWAY.
Epsilon: Mainly because you now have your pride hanging on that fact, and even if you like it, will vehemently deny that to maintain your illusion of infallibility!
Blade: Unless Tenchi ends up with Aeka. Then I could forgive and forget.
Epsilon: Careful, your rampant Aeka fanboyism is showing.
Blade: Oh, eek, my heavens. Is it? Is it really?
Epsilon: Indeed.
Blade: I guess it's the wrong gallery for that. So...uh...Mihoshi. And Kiyone. Yeah.
Epsilon: (breaks character) That part of the exchange isn't very funny.
Blade: Your fault. You need a snappier comeback than "indeed".
Epsilon: But I have one not.
Blade: Umm, have we said enough to qualify this as done yet?
Epsilon: Yeah, sure, whatever. S'not like I care about this part of the website anyway...
IMPORTANT UPDATE!!!
OAV 3 did suck. I wasn't quite right, though: it sucked far, far worse than I thought it would. That still doesn't change the fact you heard it here first!
