Blade Covets. Oh yes, oh GOD how he covets.

Last Update: March 1, 2008 - After a long hiatus, another housecleaning and adding of several Sailor Moon and miscellaneous wishes!

And here's that essential component of all cel galleries: the cels-I-want (and dougas I want; in most cases, even if I don't mention it, I also want sketches of the character, since I love sketches) wishlist. I really appreciate anyone who does look here and keeps an eye out, I do, and I'll reciprocate for the wishlists of anybody who tips me off to something whether or not I end up going for it. That being said, I'll just mention a couple of things to be honest and upfront:

1) I'm a fan of shows and characters and art, not so much a collector of cels for themselves. Unless I specify otherwise (and there's times I DO, usually because the character is rare), I'm fairly picky about a cel LOOKING good. Much like most of the cels in my own collection are very nice examples, art-wise (aside from a few I got for free), I'll often only be very interested in an attractive cel.

2) I have a limit on what I consider a reasonable amount for a cel. I'm aware it's an expensive hobby, but that's why I pick and choose my cels carefully (and let my girlfriend, a supreme bargain hunter, shop around). My own collection includes hardly anything over $100 (and nothing a lot over $100), even the REALLY nice cels. Most of it was less than $40. That gives you an idea of what I'm likely to pay, especially for characters few people other than me are going to want. Supply AND demand. But there's exceptions; a few things I want badly enough (and you can usually tell from the description) that I'll go higher than that cap. It won't hurt to ask; I'm just saying I won't promise to buy anything here at any price.

Sailor Moon

Tethys is the youma from Sailor Moon (original) episode 12, right before the episode where Jadeite dies. She has a fairly neat design and an actual history and backstory, as well as being intelligent, the latter three being rare traits in Sailor Moon villains, even more so in monsters-of-the-week. My actual preference would be a shot of her initial human form (in the blue dress), and one of her youma form, but once again acknowledging the rarity of the character, I'll take a look at any cel/douga that can be dug up.
Doorknobder is the Daimohn-of-the-week from Sailor Moon S episode 109. And she is HILARIOUS. She should have lived longer! Stupid Sailor Moon endlessly repeated plot elements! Almost any cel of her is likely to be funny, and thus almost any cel of her is of interest to me.
Telulu is cool, Telulu is awesome, Telulu only appeared in 1 1/2 episodes and so cels of her are really hard to find. Having finally gotten one of my wishlist cels for her, my lust for cels of her is somewhat sated, but I'm still very interested in finding more, especially some of the few good ones, as on the left, or some from the last Mimete episode where she has the cool shading thing going on, as on the right.
Galaxia is so goddamn awesome. So awesome I can't even talk about how awesome she is without giving spoilers for what is by far the best Sailor Moon season. Suffice it to say I'm interested in virtually anything of her. But I'd kill for this shot on the right of her sitting smugly on her crystal throne.
Seiya is also great. Of course, looking for a decent cel of any of the Starlights is like pulling teeth, but hey, Seiya's everywhere in the season, there must be a decent not-ungodly-expensive one of him somewhere. I'm quite happy to get Seiya in either form, looking either serious or goony. I'd also consider a reasonably priced one one of Taiki (maybe) or Yaten (ha ha, yeah, right).
My favourite of the Animamates is Aluminum Siren, mostly because she's actually a genius and I have a soft spot for smart Sailor Moon villains. I'd be really interested in any shot where she looks evil or devious (as on the right), but failing that, her more common ditzy look is great. Also quite willing to look at any shots of her with Crow.
What can I say? Everyone in Sailor Stars is awesome! Except Tin Nyanko, but hell, even she has her moments. Iron Mouse cels are hard to come by, I know, but I'd still love one, especially in her super awesome gangster outfit. Lead Crow is also good. And hell, I'll even take a Nyanko if she looks evil or is in her civvies. Completeness!

Revolutionary Girl Utena

You think it'd be easy to get Shiori cels, what with all the rampant Shiori-hate that festers in North American Utena fandom. But, alas, it seems no such luck. Nonetheless, I love Shiori, and I will be interested in any half-decent pieces of her from the TV series (Evil Movie Shiori, alas, somewhat less, but it wouldn't hurt to ask).
I already finally have a couple of Keiko cels, but I want more! MORE! More of my favourite character! And really, how much competition can there possibly be? I'm interested in anything, but three things in particular are REALLY high on my "will donate kidney for" list: 1) Keiko in her Black Rose Duellist outfit, as on the right. 2) Keiko eating pocky, from either the TV show or the game. 3) Keiko in ROLLERBLADES! Yes, there's probably like three cels showing the rollerblades, and they're going to be crappy by normal cel standards, but for precisely that reason, SOMEBODY should be willing to sell me a piece of that incredibly endearing moment, right?
If you don't recognise her, that's because Chigusa is the villain of the Utena Sega Saturn Game, which you can see approximately a zillion screencaps of down in my Utena galleries. She is cool, and while there's obviously not going to be many cels of her, I really only need one good one, right? Though, also, Chigusa's in-game sword, as seen on the right, is so cool that I'll consider getting an otherwise crappy cel that shows it off... such as the pic on the right. Hint hint.
Kozue is evil and cool, so I want her. Black Rose, normal, doesn't matter as long as it's a good shot, but anything where she's smirking is doubly great. I'm also moderately interested in Saionji, whom I quite like, but, uh... well, I just collect more girl than guy cels, and I think girls will be giving me stiff competition on getting anything decent of Saionji, but oh well, might as well throw it out there!

El Hazard

What a shock, Blade wants Kalia cels! But, while I will look at damn near any Kalia cel or douga, there's some more specific things I particularly want. On the left is a Kalia shot from a sequence of several nearly full body pan shots that you only see a small part of at a time in the anime. Any of those I would be particularly interested in. And on the right isn't a cel, but a piece of art. There IS a hanken cel of it somewhere, and I will sell a kidney for it, but anything with a truly clean scan of the whole image, I will also pay good money for.
I already have the second-best Ishiel cel there IS, and yet want more? Yup, cuz Ishiel's not only the character design inspiration for Kalia, she's quite cool in and of herself. First off, the pan shot from her first animated appearence is THE best Ishiel cel there is, and I want it (fat chance, I know, but that's why it's a wishlist). Other than that, though, any Ishiel cel is of interest to me.

Dragonball

It's funny, King Cold is the only MALE Dragonball character that makes my favourite character list, and I'm not even sure I could craft a compelling explanation as to why. But I do like his design, and I want a cel of him. A NICE cel, where he looks at least somewhat cool. There's not too many cels of him, I realise, but c'mon, how many other people REALLY want King Cold? There's gotta be one out there someone's willing to part with!
It's a testament to how much Bulma kicks ass that there's virtually no time in Dragonball, Dragonball Z, or Dragonball GT where I wouldn't want a good shot of her. Except the afro: I'll pass on the afro. Nearly any other good Bulma cel from any point, though, would be awesome. That being said, of especial interest to me is Evil Bulma from Dragonball GT, as on the right.
I really like Videl at most points, but aesthetic-wise, I much prefer her with her short-haired look she sported through the majority of her Z appearence, and would like a cel from that to go with my several awesome dougas. Also, one of the Great Saiyaman 2/Great Saiyawoman would be of equally high interest.
And finally, the other two ladies from Dragonball I like! One good cel of GT Pan is all I ask for; I've always loved her character design. And I'd also like #18... but unfortunately, here I know I've got a lot of competition for something nice and affordable. Still, wishlist, throwing it out there.

Ranma 1/2

It seems odd to me that after several years of collecting, I still don't have ONE really good Ukyou cel. Well, that's what I'm asking: one nice Ukyou cel. In her chef's outfit or school uniform is good, TV Series or OAV, bonus if it's an awesome shot like the left. NOT anything from Movie 2, please.
Since I already have one fabulous and one good Mariko cel, my desire for cels of my favouritist kick-ass combat cheerleader doesn't burn quite as strongly, but I still DO want more, buoyed by the fact that hardly anybody else actually wants Mariko cels. So anything decent, by all means!
Same here. I have a FABULOUS Anna cel, and thus don't NEED any more... but I like her, so more wouldn't be unwelcome! Tarou cels I know there's actually significant competition for, so I don't really expect to get any unless I pay through the nose, but I'd still be interested in them, especially some of the nice face shots the anime had between horrible animation.

Variable Geo

Just to clear up right away: I am NOT interested in nudity or high cheesecake cels for any of the VG characters. As one of my favourite characters from VG, Jun is one I'd quite like to get. I'd actually prefer one of her in civvies if it's from the anime (either her normal clothes or her awesome biker gear), though I'll be happy with a good one in her waitress outfit also. However, any cel with her showing off visible musculature (that meaning it's from the game) I will pay significantly extra for.
I have two great cels of Chiho, but will definitely be interested in any other nice ones of her. However, if a cel crops up of her ninja outfit from Advanced Variable Geo 2 (on the right), I will be especially interested. I would also be interested in any of the (admittedly rare) cels of Kyoko, from Advanced Variable Geo 2 (on the left).
Aside from the above, I'm just a fan of Variable Geo in all its myriad weirdness and chicks kicking ass. I'm plenty interested in expanding my collection, even with the characters I don't like as much as the above. Any decent Variable Geo cel of a game character that isn't overly pr0ny is one I might well look into, unless it's of Tamao. I might even buy a Yuka if it was cool (and not too horribly top-heavy), but Tamao is an obnoxious little Mary Sue. But anyway, yeah, anyone else is fair game, as long as it's a cool, PG13-or-less, aesthetically appealing cel.

Miscellaneous Wanted

Though I know Tsukihime is too new a series to have cels, I like dougas and other sketches almost as much. And I love Ciel. She is super-cool-awesome-sauce. Any sketches of Ciel I'd love very much to get my hands on, even more so for one of the couple with her 'battle outfit'.
Similarly, I'd be interested in any sketches of Cynthia Laine from the criminally underrated Overman King Gainer. As instantly one of my favourite Creepy Little Girls of all time, I'd give special priority to shots of her looking smug/evil or eating candy. Most ideally, it needs to show off her eyes. I'd also consider something of Sara Kodama!
Yeah, Soul Hunter/Houshin Engi cels are very rare. But some do exist. Oukijin (on the left) is my favourite character, and I'll do a lot for a decent cel or douga of her, but I'll also even look seriously at not-so-great ones. I also want Dakki, though to a slightly lesser extent, preferably in her "normal" form rather than the one from near the end of the series.
Of course I want a Sizer cel. Everyone loves Sizer! I know people who don't even like Violinist of Hameln who love Sizer. I am no exception to the rule. But I am unusual in that, even MORE than a Sizer cel (which nobody will offer me here anyway, because there's always willing buyers for them), I want a Guitar cel! One good cel of everyone's favourite sword-fetishizing dog-centaur-demon!
This poor girl wasn't even given a name, despite being one of the more important villains (in terms of episodes appeared in and plot impact) in Outlaw Star. But I love her. ADORE her. I want at least two good cels: one "normal", and one in her eyes-bugged-out-maximum-creepy mode. Another of my high priorities.
I'll look at nearly any Eretzvaju/Evil Zone cel just out of novelty value and because I run the Evil Zone shrine... but I will pay top dollar for one of Kakurine or (slightly lesser extent, EXCEPT for her SD picture, which is another sell-a-kidney-for cel) Erel. I'm also really interested in any shot from the endings that was obscured by credits, such as Danzaiver cavorting with Ruri or Yuri. Very high priority if anybody's ever run across any.
Aeka is my favourite Tenchi girl by far (at least in the anime), and I have NO cels of her. A travesty! I will be very interested in any good cel of Aeka, particularly one where she looks pleasant or happy, not so much if she's pissed or fighting with Ryoko. Moreover I will SELL A KIDNEY for a good cel of Aeka's battle form, as on the right.
I adore the criminally underrated (and not-finished-being-released-by-effing-Urban-Vision) series Strange Dawn, and will look seriously at ANY good cel from it. That being said, a good shot of Yuko (on the left, beret optional) would be of the highest interest to me.
I like To Heart, but I LOVE Shiho. I will be exceptionally interested in a good cel of her; thankfully, she's a major enough character, and isn't Multi, so that the Japanese may have let some go. Any more from the To Heart omake theatres would not be at all looked amiss at, either.
Saber Marionette J would be an utterly forgettable show to me, were it not for one thing: Tiger. God, how I love Tiger, and accordingly I want her. Well, a cel of her (not that I'd object to have a super killer android under my command). Any good-looking cel from J or Again would fit the bill, but not J to X, because the art sucked ass in that series.
