Artemis is one of two ‘Moon Cats’, sentient talking felines with limited and undefined psychic powers. He and Luna served as direct advisors to Queen Serenity in the ancient Moon Kingdom, and are the only living survivors of that empire’s destruction at the hands of Metallia.

Artemis was sealed in hibernation for millennia and awoke on modern Earth, where he sought out Minako Aino and introduced her to her destiny as Sailor Venus. While he is more aware of his mission and past than Luna, Artemis still suffers from lapses in memory when it comes to the events of the past and the true nature of the Sailor Senshi.

Artemis is about as strong as you would expect a cat to be. He also is feeding information to Luna through the Sailor V game machine at the Crown Arcade center, posing as the elusive ‘Master Control’.
