A scientist who works for Terrestrial Administration Centre, and is quite enthusiastic about her work. Indeed, scientific research is the focus of Matsudaira’s life, and she often neglects her social life, family, and her own health in pursuit of greater understanding of the aragami and the threat they pose to Japan.
She was once married, but has since divorced, as her dedication to research was too much of a strain on the relationship. However, from that time she has a son, Jun, whom she does try to make an effort to fulfill her motherly role towards, and does care about… if only there wasn’t so many interesting things to study all the time…
Matsudaira is older than the other women in the TAC, and has less field training, as her role is mostly restricted to research. However, she is a top-notch scientist, and is capable of leaping to intuitive conclusions and figuring out solutions to various specific aragami threats. Her field and education is not stated, but she clearly has considerable knowledge and experience in genetics, as well as biological and botanical sciences in general.
She is generally pleasant and easy-going, though she can get quite hard-line about getting materials to pursue promising avenues of research, and sometimes has a tendancy to treat even her colleagues as possible guinea pigs, a fact which leaves her a vaguely intimidating figure to the rest of the TAC.
