The elder brother of the dubiously related Valentine brothers, Luke is the cooler-headed, more intelligent and more competent of the two. He and his brother work as mercenaries, typically for Millennium. It is unknown if they were mercenaries before they were changed into vampires, but it is obvious both enjoy their current state and occupation. It is also unknown how long they have been vampires.
Luke is a powerful vampire, particularly for a “freak chip” type. He is very, very fast. So much so that dodging bullets is something he does with ease. He can move so fast it is hard for even other supernaturally gifted opponents to follow his movements. This is probably a result of his martial arts training, which also granted him the ability to sense chi. Like all other vampires, he is also very strong, has acute senses and is practically immune to small arms fire and other mundane weapons. Luke wants to test out his own combat prowess against the greatest opponents possible, to prove that he is more than just the “cog in the machine” he suspects Millennium views him as.
