The Justice High School nurse and science teacher, Kyoko used to be a fast-rising medical professional, until she encountered an scandal involving a superior which forced her to withdraw from the medical world. While originally she was blackmailed to keep quiet, after the events surrounding the first Rival Schools game, the courage of the students inspired her to go public with the story, which put an end to any hopes of resuming her medical career.
Kyoko is an accomplished orthopaedic specialist, as well as a superhuman martial artist of considerable skill. She also mixes these two talents to great effect both in healing injuries and causing them. She is quite well-admired by many of her fellow students and teachers for her seductive looks and manner, a fact she is quite aware of, does not mind in the slightest, and in fact frequently encourages. However, she only has truly deep feelings for her fellow educator, Hideo Shimazu.
Kyoko likes to drink a bit too much and too often, but keeps it fairly well under control.
