Red is the token alien of the bunch, and while she doesn't join the crew until some time into their travels, she becomes a very important part of all of their lives. Her species is decended from birdlike creatures, and while she looks furry, her "fur" is actually in fact extremely soft, fluffy feathers. She has multiple tails, which are prehensile and can be used quite a number of ways, and her "ears" are actually tiny vestigal wings, that she can move and use to emote to some extent as body language.
